Generating reports

In a dynamic real-time business environment, "any time" reporting is of critical business value, a value that the Generate Reports option brings to your desktop.

Normally, Webalizer reports are generated only when Webalizer runs at the scheduled time, whose settings are configured by your service provider. This can be a bottleneck when you want to view reports as and when needed.

The Generate Reports option overrides the pre-set Webalizer schedule to generate reports whenever you need them.

• Note: If no activity has been recorded on the Web or FTP servers, you will get the following message:
  
  Summary for Report Generation: Following error occurred while generating Web Reports. No valid records found!
  Following error occurred while generating FTP Reports. ["Error: Can'tlog file /var/log/xferlog\n"]
  
  This is due to absence of activity on the Web or FTP servers and is not an error.

To generate reports:

1. In the shortcuts area of the Home page, click Webalizer Reports (Reports section).

2. Click Generate Reports.

3. Choose the type of report you want to generate:

• Click Web Server to view the Web Server Webalizer report.

• Click FTP Server to view the FTP Server Webalizer report.
