Can I change a password to my email account, FTP account, or main account?
Yes, you can do this yourself easily. Be aware, however, if you change your password, we will not be able to go in and fix some problem on your site without your telling us the new password - OR - we may have to go in and change your password ourselves.
To change your password,a telnet client such as CRT or type in any broswer telnet://yourdomain.com When prompted for your username and password enter it.
Once you're in, type this command: passwd username
(replace username above with your assigned username) then just follow the prompts to
change the password.
Changing your password will also change your FTP access password, telnet password, and main default pop box that was setup for you. There is no way that these things can have separate passwords so choose wisely.
To change an FTP accounts password you must do this by requesting it being that FTP accounts are created by our tech administration and can only be changed by them.
Simply go to the FTP account creation form on our website in the Utilities section and place an order for your FTP account again and this time write next to the password requested in the form "change password" and that should take care of it.
